Jeff Bangle, DVM

Dr. Bangle has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1996. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended Presbyterian College where he received his undergraduate degree. He graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine , and has remained in Athens. His special interests in veterinary medicine include geriatric and canine physical rehabilitation, and internal medicine, but he works as a general practioner and looks forward to any challenging case.

Dr. Bangle lives in Athens with his wife, Kathy , and two boys Jay (8) and Reid (5). He loves to spend time with his family and coaching little league(s), and is quite enthusiastic about running, swimming, and biking, and you will often see him around town on the bike or running on the trails. Currently the Bangle family has a yellow lab named Abbott who is very spoiled!!

Dr. Bangle loves being a part of this Athens Veterinary Hospital and serving the Athens and Oconee County communities.

Jeff Stortz, DVM

Dr. Stortz graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, and has not left the Athens area since. He has lived all over the United States, including Colorado, New Jersey, Texas, and Georgia. Dr. Stortz attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN for his undergraduate studies. He enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, and also practices exotic pet medicine at Oconee Veterinary Hospital, your Athens area Vet Hospital.

Dr. Stortz lives in Athens Georgia with his wife Brooke, two young daughters named Mariella and Emilee, and their dogs Lucy and Begonia. His free time is spent reading, exercising, and relaxing with his two and four legged family.
